Marta Jamróg, was born in Jasło, however her heart belongs to Wzdów. “In Wzdów, I graduated from Folk High School and that’s
where I first came into contact with icons typical for the Eastern Church. The primary fascination with sacred art has developed into the passion and way of life. Since 2013 I have worked on creating icons professionally. An important step in my artistic development was my return to Jasło – the place of my roots, where I feel at home, like nowhere else. The surrealistic aura of Jasło with its history and architecture inspire me and give me a good starting point to the whole Low Beskids – a place at the crossroads of different cultures and incredible history, where my vision of the world and art blends perfectly.”
